How to identify waste plastics before crushing PVC mill
Before the waste plastics are crushed and cleaned by the PVC mill, manual sorting and identification are required to remove impurities and metal substances in the waste plastics, and different types of waste plastics are separated, thereby ensuring the purity of the plastic processing. The functions of the plastics are different, and the functions of the products are different. Although some additives make the original target of the polymer change, they always adhere to some of the original functions. Avoiding the changed goals and choosing the same target, this is a common method used to distinguish different waste plastics in complex places. Put together the same type of reclaimed plastics of the same shape, and use light, density, hot-cold stretching/bending, impact damage, and friction electric pen test to distinguish various plastics and reach accurate recovery. In fact, most of the reclaimed materials can be discerned in the above methods, but the physical retraction method is used for engineering plastics.
(1) Intuitive discrimination method Intuitive discrimination is a simple method of visual inspection, nose smell, hand touch, cold stretching, damage, etc. However, this method is not suitable for filling, coloring, and foaming plastics.
The above products are not suitable for this method after modification, and thermosetting plastics do not preserve the functions of raw materials.
(2) Incineration Discrimination Method: Select a small piece of material to be placed on a 60-mesh steel wire and ignite it with fire. It is distinguished from burning difficulty, smoke image, softening melting point, drawing and smell. Commonly used incineration discrimination.
The fire-burning discrimination can not only distinguish the bulk material, but also the filler material can be distinguished by the fire-burning method. In general, thermoplastics become soft after ignition and can be melted to coking. In the meantime, the plastic containing chlorine, phosphorus, fluorine and silicon is hard to burn, and it is self-extinguishing from the open flame. Plastics containing sulfur and nitro are flammable; thermosetting plastics become brittle when incinerated, coke, and do not soften; the elastomers have black smoke and blistering.
(3) Density discrimination Density discrimination method is based on the characteristics of different plastic densities, and an aqueous medium is selected to distinguish them. This method is only used for the identification of low-filling and coloring materials; it is used when it is difficult to use the above-mentioned appearance and incineration discrimination. Commonly used density discrimination.
1 quality score.
This method can be pre-equipped with various solutions, packed in a small bottle, carried around, and can be placed in the office for use. However, this discrimination method does not apply to product identification of filling and foaming.
